Summer Travel Plans

A survey of American travel plans surprised us - with 41% of Americans saying that they do not plan to travel for at least one night this summer. Car is the preferred method of travel and only 7% of Americans are planning to travel abroad by airplane.

Where are People Staying?

Chain hotels like Marriott or La Quinta are the most popular form of lodging. A close second is staying with friends and family. Finding lodgings “for free” with loved ones is nearly twice as popular as Airbnb or other short-term rental companies.
